- You can never have enough people to stalk!
-Facts directly from facebook website:
- More than 400 million active users

It depends. Where I'm from, the people from all the high schools in the county all know each other and party with each other, so I guess the low average is like 600, and some of the most popular people have counts between 1000 - 2000. Personally I'm at 750 and I think it's fine, it's all up to the individual. I would say global facebook average would be like... 300-500.
where i go to school mostpeople only have around 200-300, but people whi've moved here might have around 400-500-even up to 600.
Up to the limit Facebook allows you to have. Having more friends benefits you years from now if you're looking for a job or trying to sell something
However, Facebook Detox argues that 0 is the optimum number.
A professional Facebook analyst stated that anything less than 1000 friends was a strong sign that the user either "wasn't really trying" to Facebook or was not a succesful social person. Men who were having regular sex with multiple partners, labelled "social champions", had between 2500 and 4000 friends.
